Your child’s wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us. It is up to us to ensure that pupils are ready for learning, by taking care of all aspects of wellbeing. We follow national and local authority guidance called ‘Getting it Right for Every Child.’
Getting It Right For Every Child, or GIRFEC is the national approach in Scotland to improving outcomes and supporting the wellbeing of our children and young people by offering the right help at the right time from the right people.
We use the wellbeing indicators to ensure all pupils are SAFE, HEALTHY, ACHIEVING, NURTURED, ACTIVE, RESPECTED, RESPONSIBLE AND INCLUDED.
When children fail to thrive or face barriers to learning, we assess what may be getting in the way. This may involve working with partners such as our school psychologist, health or social work colleagues.
