Communicating with our School Community
Here at Canmore we understand the vitally important role good communication plays with all of our school community.
To help achieve this we use a range of messaging platforms.
Parentsportal.scot, a new digital service to help replace the traditional school bag run by providing direct communication to parents and carers through a growing suite of online services. This allows us to both reduce our costs of paper and printing as well as reduce our carbon footprint by the use of less paper products.
This provides information about the school and allows you to:
- view your child’s attendance
- complete the annual data check process electronically
- update your own as well as your child’s details at any time
- access MyFife
- access online school payments (iPayImpact)
- access Parent Contact Booking System
- report your child’s absence from school
Groupcall is a service we use to email parents with school-wide information. If you are not already connected, please contact the school for further details. This service is one of our main methods to communicate with parents.
This is supported by School App for Parents which allows regularly updated school-wide news, general school information and class originated news to be forwarded to parents.
Canmore’s Fife Council website (this website) provides a wide range of information for parents related to the life of the school and your child’s learning. Please feel free to explore our site and share in your child’s learning experience.
Seesaw Class and Seesaw Family are apps for use by pupils and parents respectively. Seesaw is an online learning platform and pupil engagement tool which allows each pupil to share their learning and successes with their parents. The Seesaw Family app will provide parents with notifications of any new postings in their child’s learning journal.
