Everyone has settled well into Primary 5/6 and we are all looking forward to the year ahead. We are lucky enough to have Miss Storrar supporting us in the classroom.
Important Days:

We have PE on a Tuesday afternoon and we should come to school dressed in our PE clothes.

Mrs Ward is in working with us on a Thursday morning and this term she is covering Music and French.

Our Loose Part day is on a Thursday but we do not need PE clothes for this.
Term 1:
This term our class topic has been Fairytales. We have enjoyed reading different Grimm’s Brothers Fairytales and comparing these versions to other well-known versions (such as Disney). We have also been trying to link our Emotion Works learning to the Fairytale of the Week.
Another focus for this term has been familiarising ourselves with Glow and our One Drive as this will help us when we start Levenmouth Academy. We are growing in confidence when using Microsoft Office apps for different curriculum areas and can now share our work with Miss Liddle.
In Expressive Arts, we have been looking at Pop Art and in particular the work of Roy Lichtenstein and have tried to create our own Pop Art using elements from his work. Mrs Ward has been working on pulse, rhythm and musical notation with us.
