School Meals
Lunchtimes
In the current circumstances, we have 2 lunchtimes
12:00 – 12:45pm for Primary 1 and Primary 2
12:15 – 1:00pm for Primary 3 to Primary 7
Some classes go out to play first and then eat lunch, while others eat lunch and then go out to play. There is a rota in place to ensure fairness across the stages.
Menus
Primary Menus offer healthy and tasty meal options whilst reflecting the Scottish Government food and drink legal requirements for School Lunches. Primary School Menus provide 3 daily choices.
Pupils can choose from traditional hot dishes, vegetarian and meat free options or a soup and sandwich option
Cost
All P1-5 pupils are entitled to a free school meal. For P6 and P7 pupils the cost is currently £2.35 per day. In the case of P6-P7 and secondary aged pupils, some families may be eligible to apply to Falkirk Council for provision of free school meals. Further details can be obtained from the school.
The meals are colour coded and bands are issued accordingly. Our kitchen staff have a very good relationship with our children. After lunch, children go out to the playground to play.
I Pay
All lunch selections and payments should now be made through ipay. This can be accessed by logging into your MyGovScot account. If you don’t have an account, it is easy to set up. Please contact the school for your child’s individual code that is needed.

Breakfast Club
We operate a breakfast club each day from 8.30am onwards. Children can come and go on a daily basis, the cost of the breakfast is £ 1.80. Children are supervised by a Support For Learning Assistant. Children who are entitled to a free school meal can also apply to get a free breakfast at the breakfast club. There is also a reduced rate for families.
Playtime and water bottles
We encourage children to bring a healthy play piece to school and fresh water; if their bottle of water is finished children can re-fill their bottle of water from taps in school.
Children are not allowed to bring cans or bottles to school. Fizzy juice is not allowed.
