This week, Primary 4 enjoyed reading Ruby’s Worry by Tom Percival. The story helped the children explore the important message that everyone experiences worries from time to time and that talking about our worries can help make them feel smaller and more manageable.
After discussing the story and sharing our thoughts, they headed outdoors for a creative wellbeing activity. Using natural materials such as leaves, sticks, stones and flowers, they created emotion faces to show how we have been feeling about Primary 4 so far. It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to reflect on their emotions, express themselves creatively, and talk about their experiences with their classmates.
We were delighted to see a range of positive feelings represented and to hear the thoughtful discussions that took place. Well done, P4, for showing such honesty, creativity and respect for one another’s feelings! 🌿😊
