Primary 6 have been learning all about life in Victorian times. Yesterday, their classroom was transformed into a Victorian classroom, giving the children the chance to experience a little of what it might have been like to attend school during that era.
The pupils discovered how strict Victorian classrooms could be and learned about the routines, expectations and rules that children had to follow. They took part in traditional activities and experienced a very different style of learning from what they are used to today.
It was a fantastic way to bring their topic to life and helped the children develop a deeper understanding of what school life was like for children in the Victorian period.
