For informed Teachers or Early Years Practitioners about Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Candidates should have completed the ASD level 2 course, or equivalent from other CPD. Ideal for teachers in Enhanced Provision, Support for Learning or Pupil Support roles and in specialist provision.
It will:
- Use and action inquiry based approach to continuing professional development.
- Encourage peer to peer learning approaches.
- Make the changes that are needed to help their learners to flourish.
- Plan and enable innovation to improve pedagogy.
- Use both reflective practitioner and evidenced based approaches to improvements in pedagogy
Teachers and Early Years Officers will attend 6 seminars exploring themes from Autism Spectrum Disorder Specific Pedagogy.
1. Environment into pedagogy
2. Social communication into pedagogy
3. Frameworks for practice and improvement
4. Purposeful learning into action
5. Challenging behaviour into positive behaviour
6. Case Study or programme report/presentation from delegates
The Seminars will include guest speakers and short presentations from the delegates.
