In Primary 5N we have been learning that our rivers and oceans are remarkable places. Without them, there would be no life on Earth. They provide us with water to drink and food to eat. They’re home to an astounding array of fish, animal and plant life. But our water habitats are under severe threat from dangers like climate change and pollution. Through The Blue Mile, WWF is raising money to protect these amazing environments.
Since we have been going to swimming lessons, we set ourselves the challenge to swim a mile during all the swimming lessons in return for sponsorship from family and friends. Congratulations to those who raised money for this worthwhile cause!
Well done for all your fundraising. A mile is a long way to swim (80 lengths of the pool I use! I did 30 today!)
How much did you manage to raise in the end. Well done for your efforts 🙂
Thank you for your comment! We raised £73.00 by 4 of us in the class. We hope to hear from the WWF soon! Blair, Andrew, Dylan and Ross
