Photography Protocol

Easter Carmuirs Primary uses ClassDojo and ‘X’ (formally Twitter) to share the work of the school and that of individual children.  This is viewed as an essential part of the way we communicate with families and support the learning of our pupils.

In order to ensure the ongoing commitment to safeguarding our children this protocol will be implemented immediately.

• No images of children will be shared without the express permission of their parent/carer
• This permission will be gathered at the start of each session and collated through the office. Lists of children with/without permission will be circulated to class teachers.
• No pictures of children will be shared online until these lists have been distributed.
• Peripatetic staff will also have access to these lists and class teachers should highlight children for whom no permission has been granted.
• Class teachers should also review any posts by peripatetic staff before posting
• Supply staff will not post pictures of children
• Any changes to permission through the year will be highlighted by clerical to specific class teachers
• Any changes to permission through the year will be alerted to wider staff through SEEMIS alerts and these should be checked regularly for updates
