Adobe Express

Adobe Express is an all-in-one creative suite for posters, videos, and web pages using your Glow login.

🔍 What does it do?

Adobe Express is a cloud-based design platform that gives pupils and teachers the power of professional design tools but with a simple, drag-and-drop interface. It’s a one-stop shop where you can create high-quality graphics, edit videos, and build simple one-page websites (web pages). It offers easy-to-use templates, customisable graphics, and a large library of photographs and design elements which are free to use.

🎓 Why is it useful?

Adobe Express is great for learners because it encourages creativity and enhances visual communication skills. It allows students to design projects, presentations, and posters using simple templates, making it easy to express ideas visually. The intuitive interface promotes independent learning while building digital literacy and design skills. 

Unlike other design tools Adobe Express is fully federated through Glow meaning that users do not need to sign up to a new service. Simply log in with your Glow credentials.

  • Professional Results: With thousands of education-specific templates, pupils can create work that looks “real”, from professional event posters to sleek video reports.

  • Safe Generative AI: It includes built in access to “Firefly” AI tools that allow pupils to generate images or text effects safely using simple prompts, sparking creativity for those who struggle to draw from scratch.

  • Multimedia Integration: You don’t need to switch apps to use different types of media. You can start with a photo, add an animation, overlay a voiceover, and export it as a video all in one place.

  • Consistency: Because it works in a browser or as an app, users can start a project on one device and finish it on another allowing for flexible working.

⚙️ How does it work?

  1. Log In: using the instructions on our Adobe Express: Logging In page.

  2. Select what you want to make from the project options and get started. the left hand panel to add things to your design, the Add Content button gives you access to media, elements, charts and grids and generative AI.

3. Click on objects to adjust, amend or animate them, you can use this to make your text or images fade, slide, pop and much more.

4. Share/Download: When you have finished, you can download your work or get a unique link to share your work online.

🚀 Beyond the Basics

  • Use the “Web Page” feature to create a digital “photo essay” or a scrolling report on a specific topic.
  • Use “Animate from Audio” – choose a character, record your voice, and Adobe Express will automatically animate the character’s mouth and body to match your speech.
  • Use the home screen quick buttons to instantly Remove Background from a photo or Convert a PDF – huge time savers for teachers!
