What does it do?

Canva is an online graphic design tool that caters to all kinds of creators. Launched in 2012, it is one of the most popular solutions for those looking to repurpose and produce content without the need for considerable design skills. You can access Canva’s 250,000+ free templates and 100+ design types to make anything from graphic design content like posters, flyers and newsletters to infographics, worksheets, planners and books. You can also make video content, GIFs and online presentations. 

Canva is free to use and teachers can apply for a free Canva for Education account which gives access to premium features.

Why is it useful?

As teachers, we make so many graphic design products every term without even noticing. From class learning materials, display boards, social media posts, school websites, information documents, the list goes on. Canva is an incredibly easy way to create polished and professional looking designs without having a background in graphic design. It is highly customisable and a great all rounder for making all types of content.
