The New Kincardine Bridge – at Carronshore!

bridgepic2.jpg

A new bridge is being built in Scotland. You can read about it here .

Carronshore pupils were joined by some other local school children on Thursday and Friday of this week. Some employees from Jacobs Engineering and John McPartlin from the Institute of Civil Engineers helped us to build a bridge in our school hall.

Press play below to watch it being constructed. We even got to test it by walking across it!

Some of Primary 7V interviewed two of the visitors.

The first interview was with Alan Segrott who is a civil engineer at Jacobs.

We also interviewed a visitor from ICE Scotland. John McPartlin is an education and careers co-ordinator.

  1. Hi Carronshore!! 😛
WOW! A bridge sounds lovely and exciting.
I’ve never seen any builders build at my school, but hearing that you had a bridge being built, i’m SURPRISED!!!
    How is it?
    And is it finished?
I would have really been scared to walk over that bridge because i’ be afraid to fall. You see, i am not confident with anything! 😥
I hope this bridge could really make your school look nicer and better.
    Nadine
