Stories are important in neonatal care

Medical care is of-course very important for babies in neonatal care units, however talking, reading and singing to babies will comfort and soothe them, help them to relax and build bonds with their parents.

She also describes the impact that talking, reading and singing to babies in a hospital setting has both on the babies’ wellbeing in the unit and on their longer-term development.
