FIRST LEGO LEAGUE 2022-2023:
Our S1-3 pupils took part in the annual First LEGO League competition. The team celebrated success where they were awarded for their unique innovation design and top level programming skills. This years season was:
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE 2021-2022:
In 2022, our S1/2 pupils in the DAT Robotics Club successfully secured their position at the FIRST LEGO League Scottish National Final. This years theme was ‘Cargo Connect’.
The National Final took place in Dundee where the team made it to the Semi Final round. The team worked hard to ensure they were able to complete as many missions as they could when in the robot game. They left the competition with an amazing score of 225pts! They also spent many hours as a team developing their innovation project to present to the panel of judges. All pupils really showcases our school values & the FLL core values on the day.

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE 2019-2020:
The DAT Robotics Club entered the FIRST LEGO League competition where they reached the Scottish National Finals for the 1st time. This years theme was ‘City Shapers’.
At the Scottish finals the team secured the ‘Future Engineers Award’ from the judges.

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE 2016-2017:
Our S1/S2 pupils involved in the FIRST® LEGO® league competition. FIRST® LEGO® League is a global science and technology challenge for teams of students, to encourage an interest in real world issues and develop key skills that are crucial for their future careers. The students work together to explore a given topic and to design, build and program an autonomous LEGO robot to solve a series of missions.
Teams build a robot using a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® kit that they program to autonomously complete a series of missions on a specialised field and to score as many points as possible. This years challenge is based on recycling and the environment. For further information click here.
