The BGE course in ICT aims to span the curricular subjects available in the department. This ensures that pupils are able to make an informed choice when choosing subjects at the end of S2. This is achieved through applying their skills and knowledge in each of the curricular areas in a variety of interesting contexts.

Business and IT

In this unit pupils cover a range of topics such as marketing, customer service and ethics in business. They work on their own, in pairs and in groups using technology to create presentations, charts, graphs and pieces of written work.

Computing Science

In these units pupils experience a range of software application packages such as graphics, animation and web development and using Microbits. Pupils also look at Cybersecurity and internet security.
