As it was St Andrews feast day on Monday, a lot f the activities had a Scottish theme. The children learned a variety of Scottish words and completed comprehension passages using them. They learned Scottish body parts and played games to reinforce the knowledge.

Many of the children had a go at reading The Gruffalo in Scots. I was very impressed with their efforts!

This week we worked together to create a festive feel in The Greenhouse!

For Maths, we were looking at length and distance. We took our learning outdoors and measured how far the rocket flew using a trundle wheel. We estimated how high it went.

The children made good use of ICT this week to practise their core numeracy skills.

Excellent pencil control whilst learning about St Andrew.

Learning to follow the rules and take turns.

Thanks for Recycling for us!
