Primary 2 led the Harvest and Sukkot assembly. Everyone brought in lots of food which we are going to share with Trust Housing and a Local Food bank. We built a Sukkah and decorated it.
Our assembly went very well on Friday 7th October. We all remembered our words and spoke clearly, Mike and Alan came along and played the guitar and drums. We even got all our mums, dads and grans singing and doing the actions!

During Sukkot the Etrog, a citrus fruit which looks like a lemon is very important. We investigated citrus fruits pink grapefruit, orange, lemon and limes. We looked at the inside of them and discovered they all had segments inside. We tasted them

We then used folding , cutting and sticking to make citrus fruit sun catchers to decorate the hall for our assembly.
Primary 2 had a visit from Mike Gargrieve, the minister at Thornliebank Church. He talked to us about harvest. Haris and Fatima took part in an activity which taught us about helping each other. Mike brought his guitar and we all sang a song. When Mike heard we were having a Harvest Assembly he said he could help us with our songs.
Mike came back to our class with Alan to help us practise for our assembly songs. They play the guitar and drums very well. It helped our singing to be really good. Ahmed had a go with Mike’s guitar.
