This a four step lesson. Pupils were encouraged to initially draw themselves as they think they look. Next they used the mirrors, looking carefully at their features, they used pen to create continuous line drawings. Step 3 was a formal step by step lesson, pupils were instructed to study the fractions of a face, they used the visual element of line to create formal self portrait.. Finally pupils used blended oil pastels and ink to create colour studies.
