P1 were introduced to abstract art through learning about the life and work of Joan Miro. They loved his quirky symbolism of  stars representing dreams,  little eyes shining into creatures souls and half crescent moons to be found in his works of art. Can you see such symbols in the pupils work? They began by looking at the elements of line, shape and eventually colour.
