Turner Prize Workshop 2016

St Mark’s P6 and P7 Art Sparks started the New Year with a leap into the Contemporary Art World. Glasgow was host to this year’s Turner Prize for the first time ever, as in the past two decades Glasgow School of Art (GSA) has produced no fewer than 18 Turner Prize winners and nominees! The pupils were guided through the United Kingdom’s most publicized Art award. Their intellectual and creative response more than impressed the curators and learning officers at the venue!

 

 

Kelvingrove Glasgow Boys and Girls Workshop 2015

The St Mark’s Art Show took place on Thursday the 21st May. This year the pupils had a slightly different agenda, the primary 6/7 pupils took part in Art-iculate, this was an opportunity for solo talks based on paintings by The Glasgow Boys and Girls. All four classes were immersed in the works of the Glasgow Boys and Girls, they began this Literacy and Art Adventure at the Kelvingrove Art Galleries where they attended workshops tailored to this topic
