2020 begins!

Happy New Year from all of us in P3a!

We had a fantastic first week back at school. We wrote superb personal recounts about our time over the Christmas holidays!

In Maths, some of us began to explore multiplication and we also talked about angles, fractions and symmetrical shapes and pictures. We went on to use this learning to draw self portraits, completing the other half of our face, trying to make our features as symmetrical as possible. On Friday, we became bakers as we made our very own bread! We followed instructions to combine all of our ingredients (not forgetting the magical ingredient of yeast!), kneaded our dough, left our dough to prove and then baked it to make golden brown loaves! We had tasted our bread in the afternoon, with some butter and jam on top! Some of the boys were very proud and excited to show off the mansion that they built together, using jenga pieces and Kinnex!

This week, we have a visitor from Warburton’s coming in on Tuesday to do a workshop with us, involving sandwich making! We will keep you posted about this as we are very excited. We have been reading Pippy Longstocking as our class novel, getting to know the character and her mischevious ways!

See you soon! 🙂
