This week in maths the Squares and Triangles were doing revision of addition,subtraction,multiplication and division.
The marvellous maths person for the squares was Malachy for the circles Ibrahem and for the triangles Amelia.
The circles were doing bar graphs and pie charts

Welcome to the P6a Class Blog! We are very sorry to publish this blog very late to you as we have been doing quite a lot of stuff! So here’s a few things that we have done during P6!
So, the first subject that we are going to introduce you to is Mathematics! So the circles( a type of group in maths)have been learning about Quadrilaterals, Algebra, Place value, Volume, 3d shapes, Time, Types of triangles and and a lot more. Lets move onto the squares. So the squares have been doing Fractions, Tenths, Adding decimals, 3d shapes and algebra. Now lets move onto the triangles so the triangles have been learning bodmas, weight, 3d shapes, The Race Into Space( Something that we learned during Maths Week), triangles and perimeter.
Lets move onto writing so this year we been do lot of different types of writing including newspaper articles, imagery and comic strips

Giffnock Tennis Club Sports Hub Festival
We took part in a sports festival at Giffnock Tennis Club with lots of other schools. It was really fun. We had a taster session of a variety of sports including tennis, football, squash, netball and many more fun sports.
Clean Air Competition
We worked in groups to design and create posters to raise awareness of the importance of stopping pollution. The winning poster will be displayed outside the school.
Easter
In our Religious lessons, we have been learning about the importance of Lent through prayer, prayerful meditation and bible stories. We learned about the Stations of the Cross and the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday.
