This month we have been doing lots in class. We know that there isn’t much time left in P7 so we are trying to fit in as much as we can. W have been focusing on angles in Maths. We have had a go of using the protractor to draw and measure angles. In Art, we spent a lot of time designing a cover for the school ‘International Cookbook’ and we followed an artists demonstration to create a realistic image of lips. Some of them turned out very well.

This month has been all about Science for us. It was great to write up an experiment just like we will in high school. We investigated if hand washing reduces the transmission of germs. We used bread and set a few different samples to investigate what works best- handwashing, sanitiser. The results were very interesting. Handwashing wa most effective. However, we did notice that sanitiser was also effective and it demonstrated to us there need to wash our hands as the germs grew much faster on the bread we touched before washing our hands.

There have been a lot of debates going on in our class too. We all like to share our opinions. We worked in groups to create arguments for and against things like the banning of homework and school uniform. It was great to hear everyone’s opinion.

This has been a very special month for a lot of us. Many of us made out Confirmation in St. Cadoc’s Church. It was a very special night. We spent a lot of time in class preparing for this special sacrament. We had to pick a saint that meant a lot to us. We presented some information about our saint to the class.

We had a great time visiting the forest this week. It was all about speed and agility for us as we raced through the water as we were being timed to see how fast we could all make it through. We then did a river walk, helping each other navigate the slippery rocks. The park was definitely our favourite. Even in Primary 7, the swings and the roundabout gave us a lot of laughs.

We are really looking forward to the month ahead. There are a lot of trips planned and just now we are in the process of writing the blurb for our yearbook and we are also looking out photos of us from our time at St. Cadoc’s. It is going to beĀ  a very exciting month. We are excited to spend a little bit longer in primary 7 and make lots of memories with our friends.
