Welcome to the P6a Class Blog! We are very sorry to publish this blog very late to you as we have been doing quite a lot of stuff! So here’s a few things that we have done during P6!

So, the first subject that we are going to introduce you to is Mathematics! So the circles( a type of group in maths)have been learning about Quadrilaterals,  Algebra, Place value, Volume, 3d shapes, Time, Types of triangles and and a lot more. Lets move onto the squares. So the squares have been doing  Fractions, Tenths, Adding decimals, 3d shapes and algebra. Now lets move onto the  triangles so the triangles have been learning  bodmas, weight, 3d shapes, The Race Into Space( Something that we learned during Maths Week), triangles and perimeter.

Lets move onto writing so this year we been do lot of different types of writing including newspaper articles, imagery and comic strips

We recently had a topic on Democracy and Elections, we split  into different political parties and worked together in our groups to form campaigns with

powerpoints

badges

speeches

and even tv adverts!

All of our parties worked really hard and produced some amazing campaigns, but the winning party were the Sunny Sunshines! Congratulations!

Now its time to see what we have been doing in R.E.

First thing we did was the story of the Assumption were Mary rises to heaven. Then we wrote some start of primary 6 prayers to give us a good start in primary 6. Then we did the creation story about how the world began. Did you know that God made the world in just 7 days? We have also learned about St Therese of  lisieux and St Vincent de Paul. We also did a prayer to our Guardian angels. We explained the joyful mysteries of the Rosary. We learned about Diwali and we did rangoli patterns, it was really interesting to learn about another religion.
