Whats New In 7B

Quite a few things have been happening since our last blog post, to say the least! We’ve been practising mindfulness every few days, been reading as many books as we can for the ‘Get Caught Reading Challenge’,  learning about forces in science, read to our P2 buddies (who we’ll soon miss), seen another ceilidh off, cheating at running the Daily Mile,……………. the list is endless, as ever, in P7.We’ve also been reading our new class novel ‘The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas’ which is linked with our new topic, the Holocaust. As sad as those events were we must learn about them so that they can never happen again. We’ve been doing lots of different actiities including some art that we’ve put up on the wall. We’ve had some Mandarin lessons [ni hao!] and we did a wee bit on the auld Scots Language Week and had lots of fun during it!!! Mr Burns can turn his hand to any language. A few days ago was SHROVE TUESDAY and you know what that means… PANCAKES!!! They were really really really really amazing, thanks to Mrs Cameron and Lee from the Coop of course. Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent which brings our SCIAF  wee boxes. This year for every £1 that SCIAF makes it will be doubled by the [very generous] UK government. We’re all eager to get going and make a difference. 3 weeks ago we had our … sigh…  our standardised tests. Not even really worthy of a mention. Lots been going on and still much more to come. Be in touch.
