SQA Level 5 Childcare Course Units – August 2025
SQA Level 5 Childcare Course Units – August 2025 West College Scotland and ERC Adult Learning Services will be offering 2 Level 5 SQA Childcare units in August 2025. Please read the following information carefully. Due to high demand and limited spaces, we have introduced a new application process to ensure that this is the right course for each applicant and to ensure individuals are ready to work at SQA Level 5. There will be some requirements to be accepted on to the course like basic digital skills and participants should also be able to read and understand documents with basic policies and theories related to Childcare. (Literacy support is available). The courses will start at the end of August 2025 and run until early December 2025. Both will take place in The Foundry, Barrhead G78 1SW. The courses are free. There will be a choice of 2 separate units: Unit 1 Thursdays 9:30-11:45am [Working in Early Learning and Childcare] Unit 2 Thursdays 12.15-2:30pm [Play in Early Learning and Childcare] If you are interested in applying for either of these courses, please use this link to provide us with your information. https://forms.office.com/e/wU9ktS0wms?origin=lprLink THIS LINK WILL CLOSE MIDNIGHT ON FRIDAY JULY 18TH If you meet the initial criteria, you will be notified by us in July and you will be invited to an information session in The Foundry with West College Scotland staff in late August. This session will include a short comprehension and written assessment set by the college. Based on that assessment the college will confirm if you have a place and invite you to register as a student with them.
