Join scientists from the University of Edinburgh’s Roslin Institute this Easter break, for RoslinLabCamp: PCR Masterclass: A Question of Taste.
During this full-day, hands-on workshop at the Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre you will observe your phenotype, extract DNA, carry out a PCR reaction and analyse the product using restriction enzyme digestion and gel electrophoresis to uncover your genotype.
You will gain a deeper understanding of DNA structure, PCR reactions and mutations, learn how to use research-grade equipment and talk to scientists about their research and careers.
The workshops are free to attend, but we’re asking everyone to complete a short application form as we usually have more demand than places.
Visit our websiteto find out more about Roslin LabCamp: PCR Masterclass and apply for your place before our closing date of Monday 29 September at 5pm.
Places are allocated after the closing date, not on a first come, first served basis. Complete our application form here
