More about the programme
Our work experience programme, Ignite, has been designed to give you an insight into the world of accountancy, and the career opportunities this can offer you. Open to students in year S5 or S6 (as of September 2024), you will spend four days in our Glasgow office immersing yourself into life at Grant Thornton, and you’ll have the opportunity to fast-track onto one of our school leaver programmes at the end of your time with us.
The programme will take place from Monday 14th to Thursday 17th October.
We’re looking for independent thinkers who seek out opportunities, love challenges and who are excited by business. Whether you’re looking for a fast track in our School Leaver application process, or just hoping to gain some great skills ahead of university, this unique work experience will help you get there.
You do not need any experience or to have completed a work experience programme before to apply. We’re really looking for people who have a keen interest in business and a desire to learn.

Application process
You’ll start your application by filling out a quick and easy application form. This is followed by an online assessment which usually takes less than five minutes to complete. You will then complete a written case study which is a great way to find out more about the type of work we do here at Grant Thornton.
