We are offering an exciting new opportunity for ambitious school leavers with a passion to kick-start a career in Finance.
Join our centralised Finance and Accountancy function and enrol in a five-year degree apprenticeship which will provide you with an Accountancy and Finance degree from Robert Gordon University, certification as a chartered accountant and five years of valuable experience working in a finance team for a global top-three (re)insurance broker.
From your first day at Gallagher you’ll be part of our experienced finance team and have the full support of your team-members. You will develop in-depth accounting technical knowledge in an encouraging and structured environment whilst being involved in real-world work to gain experience that truly matters.
You’ll also gain work within various Finance teams during the five years which will provide you with a full picture of how Finance operates at Gallagher.
Some of your duties will consist of producing and reporting accurate financial results, preparation of Accounting and Finance entries for the division and providing support to the team to resolve issues as they arise. Every experience will contribute towards your understanding of Gallagher policies, governance and processes.
You will also utilise the knowledge and skills you learn at University in tasks and projects within your day-to-day.

What qualification or qualities are required?
You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement
BBBB Highers (in one sitting and must include higher English and Math)
You’ll need strong communication and collaboration skills, excellent problem-solving abilities and a drive to learn.
You should also have a passion for a career within Finance.
