Young WEIR-WISE: Discovering Engineering with S2 Girls
The University of Strathclyde, in collaboration with the Weir Group, are delighted to be offering the virtual Young WEIR-WISE programme again in 2022 for female school pupils in S2.
Participants will hear from staff at the University and colleagues from The Weir Group who will provide an insight into studying and working in the field of engineering. They will also be issued in advance with a Young WEIR-WISE ‘Lab Kit’ to take part remotely in practical activities which staff will guide them through during the online sessions. We received excellent feedback from pupils who attended the virtual 2021 programme and we ask that you bring this to the attention of S2 girls, particularly those that have a talent for mathematics or physical sciences.
