Thank you to Mr Hutchison for leading our drama workshop this afternoon. We had so much fun working in groups to come up with our freeze frames inspired by the key events in the Passion of Christ.
We can’t wait for our Miracle Man auditions next Thursday.
Starting our journey as Pilgrims of Hope – Launch day provided a break from normal routine to appreciate the meaning of being Pilgrims of Hope. P4b spent the day looking at injustice and inequality through games and tasks. We looked at our individual and shared hopes for the future.
On Thursday we had the St Luke’s S3 pupils come over to our class and helped with our debate about Renewable and non-renewable energy. After we planned our debate, we went up to debate against our opponents and the S3s picked really strong debates and the group who got picked won the whole debate. We had a great time and learned so much!
In p6 we’ve been having a great time using our resources to make a wind turbine. The power in our classroom went out and we had an unplugged afternoon. It has made us really excited for our trip to Whitelee Windfarm soon!!
On Monday we did Just Dance and P.E drills to chase the wet weather away!
On Tuesday P6B also wrote information reports on right defenders and created presentations to present to the whole class.
On Friday we done tons of winter themed activities such as origami, rainbow coloured Christmas baubles and coloured wooden Christmas decorations to put on the Christmas tree and get to take them home at end of term.
While the P6 girls started their EmpOUR sessions with students from St Luke’s, the boys got together for an engineering challenge. Check out our tower designs and fantastic team work skills!
