This week we did some freeze frames inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals! We also went outside to find out what it was like to be a bug! 🐜 🐛
While doing the freeze frames, we had to guess what global goal that the pairs got (Jessica and Alfie- global goals 3 and 4) (Hawaa and Haram- global goals 15 and 16)
This week was the first week back from the Easter holidays! Lets start by saying a goodbye to Grace who is leaving St. Marks 🙁 we will be very sad without her. Another sad thing about this week is Pope Francis’s death. For that, we wrote special prayers for him. We also won class of the week!! That is all for this blog today.
Yesterday we started to our Ramadan poster all about Ramadan!
We also finished our Easter cantata!
A huge congratulations to Haram and Rebecca for winning the Knex challenge! They will be attending the Cluster challenge at St Luke’s at the end of March.
On Wednesday, Neil’s mum came in and taught us about Germany 🇩🇪 and the traditions and culture and how she spent a few years living there and her past job
Also, Martin’s mum came in and taught us about Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 and the traditions and the country and how she grew up there and the traditional dishes in Azerbaijan. We found it so interesting!
Thank you to Mr Hutchison for leading our drama workshop this afternoon. We had so much fun working in groups to come up with our freeze frames inspired by the key events in the Passion of Christ.
We can’t wait for our Miracle Man auditions next Thursday.
On Thursday we had the St Luke’s S3 pupils come over to our class and helped with our debate about Renewable and non-renewable energy. After we planned our debate, we went up to debate against our opponents and the S3s picked really strong debates and the group who got picked won the whole debate. We had a great time and learned so much!
In p6 we’ve been having a great time using our resources to make a wind turbine. The power in our classroom went out and we had an unplugged afternoon. It has made us really excited for our trip to Whitelee Windfarm soon!!
