Diversity topic

P5 have been enjoying learning a bit about each others culture as part of our diversity topic ✨

We have been very lucky to sample some African and Irish treats!

Huge thank you to those who have brought things from home to share with the class, we are all learning so much 😊.

Final Forest School Session

Today was our final session at the forest and we enjoyed some toasted marshmallows and apples 😃

Some of the girls built a den which was invaded by Teddy, the forest school cat 🐈‍⬛. He really enjoyed the shelter from the cold 🥶.

Diversity

We have been learning and researching about our culture as part of our diversity topic. Orla has learned lots about her Irish relatives and heritage and has brought in some items to share with the class 😃 🇮🇪

Thank you for sharing Orla!

Lego Challenge

This week P5 took part in the Lego Challenge 🌁

Their first challenge was to build a bridge that could hold the weight of 2 toy cars, their bridge had to be at least 10cm high. All groups were successful in completing this challenge 👏.

Their next challenge was to design a shanuk used during ancient Egyptian times to get water from the river Nile. All groups used team working and engineering skills to be successful in completing this challenge, well done P5 👏😊⭐️

Talent Show

Well done to all of our amazing talent show participants for sharing their God given talents with their peers 👏⭐️ What an amazing way to share joy with others 🎄

Egyptian Solo Talks

An amazing two weeks of solo talks and sharing our learning with the rest of the school about our Ancient Egypt topic 🏫

We have been presenting in front of our class mates and then the rest of the school came along to visit our classroom to look at our models and posters ⭐️
