Lego Challenge
This week P5 took part in the Lego Challenge π
Their first challenge was to build a bridge that could hold the weight of 2 toy cars, their bridge had to be at least 10cm high. All groups were successful in completing this challenge π.
Their next challenge was to design a shanuk used during ancient Egyptian times to get water from the river Nile. All groups used team working and engineering skills to be successful in completing this challenge, well done P5 ππβοΈ
Talent Show

P5 loved getting to wear their Christmas jumpers to school on Friday and getting to watch the P2 Nativity show π.
Egyptian Solo Talks
An amazing two weeks of solo talks and sharing our learning with the rest of the school about our Ancient Egypt topic π«
We have been presenting in front of our class mates and then the rest of the school came along to visit our classroom to look at our models and posters βοΈ
Building Water Proof Shelters
Forest School yesterday was so much fun!
We worked in teams to tie knots and build waterproof shelters, it was a huge success π β

Book Week Scotland π
Last week we enjoyed a range of activities for Book Week Scotland π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
We each brought in our favourite book and got to share it with the rest of the class β¨
We played book bingo and had the chance to ask our classmates about their reading habits π
We designed alternative front covers for our favourite book and finally we enjoyed plenty of ERIC time π
STEM – walk to school campaign
Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about sources of energy and the pros and cons of non renewable and renewable energy. We linked our learning to Climate Change and this week we created posters for a “Walk to School” campaign.
