British Science Week

P5a had a busy week doing lots of STEM related activities for British Science Week ๐Ÿงช

Mrs Anwar who is a phlebotomist came into tell us how she uses time in her work ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ we then got to try on some of the special equipment she uses in her job ๐Ÿงค

We had lots of fun trying some of the 6 brick LEGO challenges experimenting with eingeneering and creating algorithms ๐Ÿงฑ

The STEM leaders did a fun lesson on speed, distance and time with the children ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

Parent Interviews

P5 have been busy with parent interviews, asking lots of important questions to find out about other peoples culture and religion.

Huge thanks to Ayatโ€™s parents for coming along to speak to us today and for treating us to some home made samosas! The children have learned so much from this experience ๐Ÿ˜Š

Burns Day

Wearing some tartan and enjoying home made Scottish shortbread made by Lacy and her dad for Burns day last week ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

Diversity topic

P5 have been enjoying learning a bit about each others culture as part of our diversity topic โœจ

We have been very lucky to sample some African and Irish treats!

Final Forest School Session

Today was our final session at the forest and we enjoyed some toasted marshmallows and apples ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Some of the girls built a den which was invaded by Teddy, the forest school cat ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›. He really enjoyed the shelter from the cold ๐Ÿฅถ.

Diversity

We have been learning and researching about our culture as part of our diversity topic. Orla has learned lots about her Irish relatives and heritage and has brought in some items to share with the class ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช
