We have been presenting in front of our class mates and then the rest of the school came along to visit our classroom to look at our models and posters ⭐️
Forest School yesterday was so much fun!
We worked in teams to tie knots and build waterproof shelters, it was a huge success 😊 ✅
Mr Farrell taught the boys and girls how to safely tie knots 🪢
Another Make Your Mark Signature Learning Experience achieved ☑️

Last week we enjoyed a range of activities for Book Week Scotland 🏴
We each brought in our favourite book and got to share it with the rest of the class ✨
We played book bingo and had the chance to ask our classmates about their reading habits 📖
We designed alternative front covers for our favourite book and finally we enjoyed plenty of ERIC time 😃
Today we achieved another one of our make your mark signature learning experiences by making waterproof shelters 😊.
A super fun time at the forest yesterday! We started off the session with a forest bath and then played some games and got to use our imagination 💭 😊 🪱
We learned that the Ancient Egyptians had their own alphabet and they used symbols to represent letters and words. This was called hieroglyphics.
We then wrote our own names in hieroglyphs.
We learned that the ancient Egyptians also made their own paper like material out of a plant called papyrus.
We worked in groups to make our own papyrus like paper by using strips and a water and glue mix. Once the paper was dry we wrote coded messages using the hieroglyphics and then used tea bags to stain the paper to make it look even more like papyrus!
Have a look at our finished result 😊.
