P5a 2024/2025

Primary 3 showed off their drama skills to recreate scenes from the story ‘ An Unexpected Visitor’ about an Alien that lands on Earth and has never heard of Christmas before. They showed excellent use of facial expression and body language ! P3a you are superstars!!

Primary 3 have been absolutely loving their time at Forest School. They have been so creative collecting different sticks and working as a team to create their own picture frames….I am sure you will agree they are absolutely fantastic !!

Primary 3a have been showcasing their learning about different coins and notes to the value of £20.

They have been creating coin caterpillars and calculating their total, drawing the coins and notes used in the different money jars and calculating change from £10! Look at their amazing work !

Primary 3a loved our first visit back to Forest School this week. We enjoyed  taking a leaf bath , climbing, swinging , exploring and most importantly having lots of fun with our friends ! We can’t wait to go back next week !

This week in Primary 3a we have been learning all about symmetry . We used playdoh to create symmetrical butterfly wing patterns, created shape patterns using 2D shape tiles and identified lines of symmetry on real life objects using mirrors !

This week in Primary 3a we celebrated Maths Week Scotland by completing a tallest tower STEM challenge using spaghetti and marshmallows ! Look at our amazing creations ! Well done P3a !

This week we have been investigating living and non living things and sorting them into groups. The pupils enjoyed taking their learning outdoors.

P3a had a Marvellous Thursday exploring our class novel George’s Marvellous Medicine ! We spent the morning becoming scientists and conducting super dissolving experiments !

Afterwards we wrote our own wonderful marvellous medicine recipes and then collected and created our own medicines outside ! Great work P3a !

Primary 3a have had a very busy week ! They participated in different active maths stations exploring numbers from 0-100 looking at place value  and expanding numbers !

We have also explored instructional writing this week and wrote a wonder class fruit smoothie recipe- it sounded  so fantastic that we decided to make it ! It tasted absolutely delicious – Well done Primary 3a !

This week we have been using the engineering process of -ASK, IMAGINE, CREATE AND IMPROVE.
