Crazy Catapults

The boys and girls in Primary 4b have had an exciting first week back at school. The children worked together to build a catapult using wooden sticks. There was rich discussion across the groups about the process of designing and building the catapult. Each group were keen to ensure their catapult would be able to launch the objects the maximum distance. Once the catapults were ready, we took them outside and worked in groups to launch a range of objects. Once the objects had been released from the catapults, the children used materials such as tape measures and metre sticks to measure the distance the object has travelled. Back in class it was interesting to identify which group had launched their object the furthest distance.

Last Day Fun

It has been an excellent last day in Primary 4b with lots of festive fun, games, dancing and even a special visit from Santa🎅🏼.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Snowball Maze

Primary 4b enjoyed working collaboratively, using a range of skills to create a maze for a snowball (pom-Pom). They worked really hard to follow the criteria and ensure their maze had a start and end point and that the pom-pom could fit through all obstacles. I am really impressed with the end results!⛄️🌨

Christmas PE Fun🎄👏🤸‍♂️

This week the boys and girls in Primary 4b enjoyed festive fun in PE. On Monday the children worked together to create their own fitness dance routine to Christmas music, this was thoroughly enjoyed by all! On Tuesday they worked in teams to play a game of ‘snowball’.  The children demonstrated the skills of communication and collaboration across both lessons. Well done 👏😊.

Inspiring Leaflets

Over the past three weeks Primary 4b have been learning about seasonality and sustainability. The children worked with a partner to research seasonal Scottish produce. They then worked together to decide how to convey this new information to others. As a class they decided a leaflet would be most suitable. The children worked hard to identify good features of a leaflet before creating their own.

French

Primary 4b had a fantastic morning with Ms Patterson practising their French. They took part in talking and listening activities and had the chance to write about their imaginary pets. Well done boys and girls 👏😊.

Learning Assembly

Well done to all the children in Primary 4 for taking part in our class learning assembly. I am so proud of the hard work and preparation that went into the show!

Amazing Art!

Primary 4b have been working with Mrs McIntyre to create these wonderful masterpieces🎨👩‍🎨👨‍🎨.
