Hello,

Usernames and passwords will be handed out tomorrow. They will be on a piece of card (password pass) so that it’s easier to find.

All glow passwords are subject to an annual password change. As children will be using their glow accounts at home and in school, it is my priority to ensure both myself and parents have access to the most recent passwords in order to help them log in. If their password is changed in school I will update their ‘password pass’ and would ask parents to do so that if the password change is prompted at home. This ensure pupils have access to learning resources at home and in school.

Homework

Over the coming weeks further advice will be issued with regards to homework.

For the moment I would ask that parents make use of existing online platforms such as Sumdog and Literacy Planet – passwords will be reissued this week although these have not changed.

In addition to these, Topmarks provides a range of online games which promote numeracy skills.

Also if your child has access to a keyboard, any typing practise would be excellent as children will be encouraged to use chrome books independently in school.

Physical Education

I would also ask that you encourage your child to get changed by themselves as much as possible as they are expected to get ready for PE independently. Help is always on hand but the more independent your child can be in getting changed, the more time children have to participate in PE lessons.

PE days are a Wednesday and a Friday, for the moment both sessions take place outdoors.
