Primary 7a 23/24

We have completed our class novel ( The Boy In Striped Pyjamas) and we then got into groups to discuss and answer the most important questions related to the book. We have now started to watch the movie and we will continue tomorrow. We have noticed some differences between the two.

A massive well done to Brooke on bring our latest Studrnt of the Week! She consistently maintains the highest of standards for herself and leads the way for others to follow. Brooke’s all round general knowledge and confidence to use her initiative ensures that she is a leader amongst her peers. Way to go, Brooke!

Lots of us were lucky enough to receive a book for Christmas and it was lovely to get a chance to share which authors and genres we’re into at the moment.

These will be our fantastic new Maths Coaches for the start of 2024! They will take over from Azaan, Brooke and Anna in discussing strategies and approaches to problems with their peers. We’ve found it so helpful within our class to have children leading learning!

Today we were updating our character portraits and writing down some important things that we have learned about our characters from the last few chapters. We have split into groups so that we can get the main ideas and have most of the characters.

We are thoroughly enjoying reading our class novel and learning about prejudice and conflict and how we must learn from history.

In class we have been doing persuasive writing about conflicts. We were learning and writing about the negative impact of current and past conflicts and how they affect children’s rights. We wrote hypothetical letters to world leaders to voice our concerns about conflicts and asking them to stop.
