The Last Wild Novel Study Predictions

We have now started a new novel study! The novel is called The Last Wild and we’re three chapters into it and loving it so far. The themes we’ve identified so far seem to be disconnection and the environment. Take a listen to our predictions of where we think the story might go in the video below. 😊

Support from Home

I just wanted to draw your attention to two areas in which we would greatly benefit from parent/carer support. Our Google Classroom now has the links to the first of the songs we will be rehearsing for school show. If the children could practise these at home with you that would be fantastic. Especially after we issue roles. The standard was sensationally high! A huge well done to everyone who auditioned. 😊

In addition, a few of our children will be taking part in a debate against Carlibar Primary. The motion is captured in photo below. Any discussion or input at home would help to enrich our knowledge when we begin to plan and prioritise our arguments as a class.

Student of the Week – Michael

A colossal congratulations to Michael who has been putting in maximum effort to our Joseph rehearsals. Not only is he preparing for the role he wants, he is enthusiastically singing choir parts to support others and is also taking on the technical duties of manning the lyrics PowerPoint and audio tracks. Your focus these past few days has been wonderful! Keep it up! 😊

Nabiha – Making Her Mark!

Nabiha has been using her impressive creativity skills by making a fantastic book at home called “The House of Blood and Nightmares.” We encourage everyone to write at home and bring it in to show the class!

Bikeability

This week our Bikeability leaders attended the school to undertake bike checks for us prior to our first cycling session. If you forgot your bike on this occasion please still bring it along to our first cycling session and it can be checked then. Please remember helmets, boys and girls!

Student of the Week – Lilly-Rose

A huge well done to Lilly-Rose, our latest Student of the Week in P7a. Lilly-Rose is an incredibly kind, supportive and compassionate classmate who has the ability to collaborate brilliantly with all of her peers. Her homework and ability to manage her own time effectively is incredibly impressive and bodes so well for the new challenge of high school. You’re a star!

Yearbook Preparation

Today we were on the Chromebooks to prepare for our P7 yearbook. We wrote about our hopes and dreams for the future, we gave some thank yous to the kind staff in this school and we also chose a quote that sums up each and every one of us. Finally, we also wrote about our St.Mark’s memories that we will take with us.
