Student of the Week – Tyler!

Well done to the one and only Tyler who is our latest Student of the Week. Tyler’s communication skills are second to none and he engages so positively with others. A lot of children could take inspiration from his manners! Keep smiling and spreading your kindness, Tyler! 😊

Healthy Eating Campaign!

Malik, Lilly Rose and Anna have developed their persuasive writing into letters in order to try and persuade some local supermarkets to donate some fruit to us each week. Although they’re leaving the school this year they’re hoping that they can help less sugary snacks become a bigger part of the school day. As a class we identified improved focus, better general physical health, improved condition of teeth and a tidier school environment as benefits of fruit snacks. We’ll keep you posted on any replies and developments! 😊

We had a wonderfully enjoyable first Bikeability session today! The children listened incredibly well and took on valuable advice from our instructors. We’re looking forward to next week already!

Student of the Week – Elena!

Our latest Student of the Week is Elena! She has worked tirelessly on her ability to take a central role in class discussions and has built up a huge amount of confidence in elaborating upon her ideas. Also, her dedication to the audition process for Pharaoh in our school show has been inspiring! We know that you’ll do us proud, Elena.

Homework & Artificial Intelligence

Today we peer-assessed each other’s homework task of writing the next paragraph in a story. Brooke’s was very popular! We then checked in to see what AI came up with for the next paragraph! We discovered that the next events via ChatGPT were not as weird and wonderful as our ideas! We noted that they were EXTREMELY well written, with fantastic vocabulary and levels of description, but the next events were not as surprising as ours. Our Lord Provost debate motion links to AI so we’ll keep referring back to it across the curriculum where we can.
