Golden time:Eiffel Towers everywhere

On Friday, the children decided to use their Golden Time to create Eiffel Towers in many different ways.

Some were drawn on paper.

Some were drawn on the smart board.

Some were constructed out of paper.

Some were made out of Lego.

Some were made at home from cork.

Regardless what they were made out of, they were all FANTASTIC!

Last week we had our Summer trip to Rouken Glen Park and God blessed us with fanatastic weather.  We had a wonderful day playing in the play park, going on nature walks, identifying tree species and feeding the ducks.

Measurement

Today, we were exploring capacity or volume and deciding how we can compare different sizes and shapes of containers.

First, we arranged our containers from smallest to largest. Then, we tested our order by filling each container with water using the smallest container as a comparison.

We used our results to revise our previous order until we were happy with our final order.
