Emilie marked a fantastic start to P5 by being our first recipient of the ‘Student of the Week’ Award. Emilie showed exemplary listening skills this week and followed instructions perfectly. She even used her initiative at many points too. Her classmates offered her some lovely shout-outs below too!

This month, our focus for Reciprocal Reading is ‘Clarifying’. We have been enjoying creating our own ‘Four Door Charts’ to help provide us with a range of strategies to work out the meanings of unknown words. We have been using these to clarify some Scots language in the Scots version of ‘The Gruffalo’.

We worked together to come up with some excellent adjectives to describe the personality and appearances of specific characters.
