Primary 7a 23/24

We loved working together to problem solve and bring a design to life today during Outdoor Classroom Day! We used the materials to meeet our brief of moving a ball from one position to another without touching it. What a gorgeous day for it!

Our second tennis PE lesson was a huge success! We’ve been working so hard on our body positions and swing. Excellent listening from the boys and girls too. What a fun afternoon in the sun!

Very well done to our amazing Erin who was our most recent Student of the Week! She always shares er amazing opinions and general knowledge with he class and this helps us to push forward in our learning!

We really enjoyed our afternoon of Halloween fun on Friday. We danced and laughed and told funny jokes! 

Today we learned about the various states of water and how the molecules behave in each state. We will go on to use this knowledge within our learning about the water cycle.

Big congratulations to Christopher who was this weeks’ Student of the Week. Christopher has ben making great progress within our daily reading sessions and has been setting high standards for himself. we’re all really proud of you Christopher! Boys and girls, keep bringing in books you love reading at home so that you can inspire others and let them see what kinds of amazing books are available!

Today during Outdoor Learning we focused on achieving quick recall of some of our multiplication tables, whilst also working hard physically at the same time. We know that repetition is key when it comes to mastering multiplication!

Yesterday we had our first reading circle! A Reading Circle is when we all bring in a book from home that we’re reading and share what we like about the book. It’s really getting us excited about reading different kinds of things!

Congratulations to our inspiring Aoife who is our latest P5a Student of the Week. Aoife has been working so hard within literary activities and is producing some wonderfully detailed work. She always takes on advice and aims to improve and sets such a great example to others.

During Outdoor Learning we created bar graphs thats reflected the results of our class surveys about Halloween. We surveyed numerous classes about their favourite aspects of the festival, then collated the results in class. We decided to experiment by creating the bar graphs outside before we did so in our jotter or digitally on the chrome book.
