Student of the Week – Hasnain!

Congratulations to the inspiring Hasnain who is our latest pupil of the week! His exemplary manners are an inspiration to everyone in the class and he never fails to treat everyone with kindness and empathy, just as we have been learning about in our Health and Wellbeing lessons! We’re so lucky to have a role model like Hasnain!

P5a Library!

We are making some changes to our class library area and the first step was to sort through the books and find out if we had any duplicates or any books that we thought would be better suited to other classes. Brilliant job, guys! We can’t wait to show you when the area is done. We really want to keep encouraging each other to be excited about reading. Having a lovely space to read in will definitely help inspire us.  🙂

Microsoft STEM afternoon!

The children enjoyed a creative afternoon learning about careers in STEM and then undertaking a design challenge that called for them to collaborate and problem solve. Thank you so much to our guest speakers from Microsoft! We all learned so much.

Student of the Week – Michael C!

Our latest student of the week is the wonderful Michael who has worked hard to listen to what we’ve been talking about in our Health and & Wellbeing lessons. He understands that being polite and saying nice things  to others can really help them and makes all of ours days so fantastic. He’s even been asking the teacher how she’s doing!

Have a safe and kind weekend everyone! Miss Mac. X

COP26 Eco Inspiration!

We have beeen inspired by what we learned in the lead up to COP26 to make some changes in our school. Mr Hutcheson welcomed our super ideas and challenged us to make them a reality, not merely just ideas or words. We’ve started by making posters for all of the paper towel dispensers in the school to remind people to take one paper towel only. Next we’re going to make a video to make people more aware of the recycling opportunities within our school!

Multiplication Day!

Well done to the fantastically hard working children of P5a and P5b! They have all worked so hard to improve their multiplication knowledge in the past four weeks. It was great to bring it all together today during our Multiplication Day where we all worked between the two classes on Multiplication activities. Thanks to the parents and carers who helped the children meet the targets that they’d set too. It makes such a difference! Brilliant effort! Keep going everyone, don’t stop now!

Music

Today we sang some songs outside as part of of our music lesson for Outdoor Classroom Day. The song involved us using our multiplication skills while bouncing rhythms with the ball. We can’t wait for our Multiplication Day tomorrow! (We delayed it for a day due to it clashing with Outdoor Classroom Day)
