In Primary 2, we use Sumdog as our Numeracy and Mathematics homework on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.  Research has shown that at least 30 minutes of Sumdog per week has a beneficial impact on the development of Numeracy and Mathematics skills.

Moreover this research, Sumdog Effectiveness Study, conducted in Glasgow schools showed,

“that the length of time spent using Sumdog has a highly significant,
positive impact on students’ mathematics improvement.  Students who spent an average of 1 hour per week on Sumdog progressed 3 times faster in mathematics than students who spent less than 5 hours on Sumdog over the 6 month study.”

Sumdog can be accessed through the children’s Glow Launch Pad, the Sumdog website on PC’s or through the Sumdog app on phones and tablets.
