Summer Music Festival

It’s festival season!  We used a range of skills to design a unique festival, creating a site map; building our line-up; calculating costs, income and profit; and marketing our festival with logos, posters and merchandise.

Rights Respecting Schools Week

It is St Mark’s Rights Respecting Schools Week, and we have been exploring the different articles and discussing how they look in our day to day lives. Today’s is Article 29: The Right to Relax and Play. We went along to the hall where we got to relax and play thanks to our Rights Respecting leaders.

St Luke’s Transition Days

We had a great time on our transition days at St Luke’s. It was good to try out all the different subjects and see what a timetable might look like over a day. The science lessons were great fun and jus de pomme was a favourite at the French cafe. We can’t wait to be back in August!

STEM – Sustainability

This week we have been investigating why bees are so important in our world and how they are under threat from Climate Change and pesticides. Here is a great example of a bee garden one of our  pupils created with sustainability in mind. He used recycled plastic as part of his design.

Welcome Back!

It was great to be back together after the holidays. This week we have been looking at the theme of friendship in our class novel. We recreated the moment some key characters met. We then finished up the week with some golf!

Coding

This term we have been learning to code using a range of coding languages.  So far we have used our coding skills to create a variety of games, protect a hospital from a cyber attack and even rob a bank.  This helped us to learn how companies protect their systems and information.

This week we have been creating ASCII art using our coding skills.
