Primary 7b 21/22

We are so excited to share our fundraising campaign with you.  We will be taking part in the KILTWALK by walking the distance of BEN NEVIS around the school on Thursday 22nd April.  We are even going to let the local Newspaper know about our fundraising efforts for this incredible charity based on the Isle of Bute.  We have uploaded a short video explaining it to twitter and our link to our fundraising page is below.  Please feel free to share the fundraising link for the kiltwalk with friends and family.  You may need to copy and paste it into your browser to work.

In the last week we have had approval to raise money for our chosen charity. We spent time researching charities and then voted for Calum’s Cabin. We then researched virtual events that we could complete and after using maths skills we then voted for Ben Nevis. Here we are now using Literacy skills to write a letter to Calum’s Cabin and we will be presenting at the school assembly in the next few weeks.  We are all so excited about this project.

Today we spent time outdoors looking at some of God’s wonderful creations and then we made posters to help promote taking better care of our planet by reducing pollution.

Today our class were given the challenge of developing perseverance skills. The challenge was to work together to build a den, sharing resources and tasked with displaying team spirit. They had to keep trying until they had a structure that everyone in the class could fit inside. It took 3 attempts but they never gave up and believed that they could use problem solving skills to make it work. Well done P6b, I am so impressed.

This week we have been writing Autumnal Poems. Before we started we went on an Autumn walk for inspiration. We took notes on our senses.
