Big Writing

BToday we were lucky to receive a visit from Mr McKee from St Lukes high school. He taught P4 a Big writing lesson and focused on improving their vocabulary during writing tasks.

The children were very engaged and enjoyed reading and comparing the passages that he had brought for them to read.

Later in the day, children shared their work on the alphabet challenge with each other to inspire a creative use of vocabulary from each other!

Barrhead Foundry Visit

On Tuesday this week we went to the library at the Foundry and all choose a book to take out.  The librarians let us stamp our own books and showed us how it all went through on the computer.  Our books are due back in November so we can’t wait for another visit!
